This third memoir of George's life deals with the 5 years from 1971-1976 after he left Secondary school and went to St. Andrews University to study French and German Language and Literature. The period from October 1973 to June 1974 describes George's adventures as an Assistant teacher of English in a school in Versailles, France. The book tracks George's final painful development from older schoolboy to adult on the cusp of graduation, marriage and employment. Being about university, this book is filled with naughty adventures, some more serious then others, and reflects the mental turmoil of a young man growing up in a world of study, football and girls!
